Fauconnerie Royal deduits / Chasse a vol

Yes this scarf is basically Chasse a vol but with “Fauconnerie Royal Deduits” inscribed in place of “Chasse a vol”. It is also printed on jacquard silk, the jacquard pattern being small half scallop shells. I bought it from Vestiaire collective who additionally authenticated it for me. My scarf is clearly vintage and on jacquard silk. Vestiaire say
“The Hermès scarf “Fauconnerie Royal Deduit” was designed in 1956 by Henri de Linares. The design was released in 1956 and it has been produced on jacquard silk and on simple silk twill, only with reissues in 1982 and 1989 on normal silk under the well-known name “Chasse à Vol” - no reissues at all in the jacquard silk variant”
But some online sources say that this design was issued in 1962 (if so, was that a reissue of the 1956 design, or is 1956 incorrect as the first year of release?). Here’s what Bonhams auction house in Paris said of the same scarf in an October 2023 auction:
“HERMES Paris, crée en 1962. Carré “Fauconnerie Royal Deduit”. Dessinateur: Henri de Linarès
Soie façonnée, imprimée et titrée, fond écru.”
If anyone has any confirmed information - eg from Hermes itself - I’d be very interested to know!

Here’s what Bonhams auction house in Paris said about the same scarf in an October 2023 auction:
“HERMES Paris, created in 1962. Carré ‘Fauconnerie Royal Deduit.’ Designer: Henri de Linarès.
Jacquard silk, printed and titled, with an ecru background.”

I don’t completely trust auction house information. Bonhams is better than the average auction house, but the experts they hire to authenticate lots often make errors (e.g., misidentifying the model or designer). So, I wouldn’t rely on their descriptions too much.

Is the label still attached to the scarf?

Alas no label <<trying not to remember cutting out the label on my very first Hermes carre - voitures a transformation, since you ask>>

 Sorry for the delay.

I want to add it to the database but for some reason the picture quality is a bit low.
Could you try to repost it to see if it’s better ?

Best Baptiste

Hopefully this is better - taken with noonday sun. The design itself looks as if it was originally done by a dry-ish watercolour technique, so it is slightly fuzzy in some parts, just as a watercolour would be.
