Petite Main Latham Signature Position?

I have an early Petite Main with the Latham signature on the one of ribbon details, But I also see versions online were the signature is on a clear background. I believe I have the First Edition from 1987 but were there other editions since then with the signature variation?

Hi!
Petite Main is such a charming design—Hermès doesn’t officially disclose when each scarf was reissued, which makes it a bit of a puzzle to track editions.

The variation in signature placement you noticed isn’t unusual. Some early editions, like what’s believed to be the original 1987 release, feature Latham’s signature directly on one of the ribbon details. Later reissues often move the signature to a clear background or adjust its placement slightly. This kind of variation has also been seen in other designs, like Astrologie, so it’s likely part of Hermès’ standard reissue practice.

If someone owns the scarf, one of the best ways to narrow down the edition is to check the care label (if still attached)—older scarves typically have different tags (smaller size, different fonts, sometimes no fabric composition listed). Comparing those details can help identify the version more accurately.

Hope that helps!
